Just for fun - are you Type A or Type B???

Post by Carrie »

Hi everyone. This is a totally non-scientific and just-for-fun poll. Here, from Answers.com, are their definitions of Type A and Type B personalities:

type A personality
A temperament marked by excessive competitiveness and ambition, an obsession with accomplishing tasks quickly, little time for self-reflection, and a strong need to control situations.

type B personality
The opposite of type A personality. The type B personality is relaxed, uncompetitive, and inclined to self-analysis.

Unfortunately there IS NO category for me..

I'm probably MAINLY type A, in that I'm a perfectionist when it comes to MYSELF and constantly self-critical, also OCD, and constantly having to clean up to thwart a full-blown depressed mood simply because things are not straight and lined up around the house..

but then, I'm NOT competitive as far as I know..

When I was young, definitely type A. Now I am more of a B. One of the blessings from this disease....I have slowed way down and my priorities have done a complete 160! This might sound weird but I have been much happier post MC.

Definitely A. Trying hard to tone it down though. My husband is definitely type B. Probably why he'll live longer.

Hi Carrie,

I'm rigid in my need for randomness. How's that for weird? So I called myself a combo-mostly-A

Carrie,

I have always been a mix. I am definitely more type B now, than I have ever been.

I wonder if that comes with age or knowledge? In my case, I think it has to do with priorities. What I used to think was so important, just isin't!
I enjoy the process of things much more now, instead of reaching the goal.
