I'm giving you thanks, Janie, on this day. And to all. We should all be thankful more often for the things we have.

Thankful that I found this board 7 years ago and for the advice that gave me my life back. Also grateful for everyone who has traveled this journey with me.

Have a blessed day, everyone. 🧡

I am extremely thankful for all of the advice, guidance, compassion and strategies after I contracted Lymphocytic Microscopic Colitis 15 months ago.

With the help of you all, the luck of the draw of getting a good GI doctor (rare, I know) and more than a few ups and downs......I am now solidly in remission. Special thanks to "Tex" for his recommendations and his great book on MC!

I had to pass on the dressing and pumpkin pie yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner with my family (dang it looked good!) but had plenty of turkey and other sides. Being gluten free and dairy free is a small price to pay, considering I couldn't even consider leaving my house because of the Colitis symptoms for Thanksgiving and Christmas 2017.

This forum is an invaluable resource, in so many ways.

A huge and sincere thank you to everyone here! Hope that your holiday was a good one! :happythanksgiving:

I am very thankful for finding this board 8 years ago. We had our first totally gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner with the whole family. Everything was really good including the stuffing and desserts.

I'm thankful for everyone who's willing to share their experiences, insight, and support so that we can all benefit.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I too, am soooo thankful to Tex and everyone on this wonderful board. When I found this place it was in June of 2014. I had lost so much weight and was almost housebound. I agree, giving up gluten and dairy is nothing compared to so many diseases that so many suffer from. Thanks and much love to everyone.

Love,
Connie

I'm so very thankful for all of you! I can't imagine where I would be had I not found you. I am also thankful for the wonderful day I had yesterday. It wasn't about the food, it was being with my family.

Ditto to everything that has already been said. I'm incredibly grateful for this "home" and everyone here. Thank you all ever so much. Tex, you deserve an extra giant THANK YOU, as this place wouldn't be here without you.

I also had a wonderful Thanksgiving day yesterday, spent with my SO, son, DIL and 3 grandchildren. We had a totally safe meal, GF, DF and SF, and it was delicious. My son's household is gluten free, as all of them tested very high to gluten at Enterolab. We got them all tested since my son had started to suffer various auto immune symptoms.

Much love to all of you here - wishing you radiant health. We can do this with each other's support!!!

Love,
Kari

I am thankful to Tex and this forum also. It is how I regained my health. I hate to think where I would be today if I hadn't found the forum. I had a safe Thanksgiving. Although the meal was not gf, df etc my daughter-in-law, who did most of the cooking, prepared just for me special versions of the dishes that I couldn't eat and my granddaughter made me an apple crisp (no crust). She was the one who made the apple pies for the rest of the gang. My granddaughter is the one who had cancer. It is now 9 months since her last treatment and so far so good. Today we are celebrating her 17th birthday so I am thankful for that as well.

I was so busy with family that I didn't have time to let this wonderful group of people know how thankful I am for your unending support and advice. What you have given me is immeasurable. It is life with many dietary restrictions but it is life and it is good!

Thank you,
Susan

Jean - good to hear your grand daughter is doing well. It is heartbreaking when young ones get serious diseases. Wishing her continued success in keeping the cancer at bay!!!
