Howdy Friends,
Well, I am sad to report that I’ve had a setback this week. I was doing so well, then BOOM! I’m having a nasty, painful flare up. Today has been really rough- battery acid D about 8 times already. It is so painful during, and now after I get off the toilet. Nothing is comfortable- it is hard to sit, stand, walk without pain from the bowel movements and the acidic D. I’m pretty tough, but this is bad- cold sweats from how painful it is.
What have you done to help relieve this kind of pain?
I think this flare was caused by tapioca. I added a little to some meat drippings to make a “gravy” to top my veggies and meat. Bad idea.
Having a flare- suggestions for pain relief?

surface discomfort, i use coconut oil (good for soothing skin and protecting it from acidity of the D)
rest of body, magnesium soak (foot soak if not well enough to do bath), gentle massage on stomach area, breathing exercises/ guided meditation to calm the body
take some extra Vit D to help calm the inflammation

Ranchgal - Gabes has given you some great suggestions. I'd like to add that I used a heating pad when in pain - it always seemed to help. Good luck - hope the flare passes quickly .
