A newbie here with MC (LC)

Post by humbertob »

Hi to all, thanks GOD that I just found this forum when reading Wayne's book about Microscopic Colitis, this is my history:

11 Years ago I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease (Lymphoma - Cancer), after all my treatments I was declared cancer free and on remission after a year under treatment, months after being declared cancer free I just started to feel abdominal pain on my left side of the belly, just went to the doctor and they diagnosed me this time with diverticulosis, have tried everything and the left abdominal pain never disappeared. Long story short, after being diagnosed with diverticulosis 3 months ago my gastro performed a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy and after getting some biopsies from different parts of my intestines they found Lymphocytic Colitis. My Doctor just prescribed ENTOCORT and ESPAVEN (Enzymes) as the gold treatment but I have never feeled right with this treatment. 2 weeks ago I started to feel exhausted, with insomnia and every time I eat anything my nose gets watery, no matter what I eat. I usually eat chicken (hormone and antibiotic free), Tuna, Pork, Spring mix salad, potatoes, avocado, almond milk, very little sugar, eggs, bacon and that's my menu, I know this is not the best menu to get a complete remission from MC and I have read all the guidelines in this forum but I'm open to suggestions and recommendations from all you that have been on remission for a while. Thanks in advance for your help.
