Sandoz cholestyramine with sucrose still available?

I was at my Functional Dr today and we were talking about bile acid sequestrants. I’ve seen many people recommending the sandoz brand powder and more specifically, the sucrose version.
In calling various pharmacies, we are both being told they can “no longer get” the sucrose version but they can get the lite one (which I don’t want). I know the other brand, Par has not been as highly recommended and I have taken this brand before.
In researching online, I am going in circles trying to figure out if there is a back order or it’s been discontinued....
Has anyone else run into this???

Have you tried calling the company's 800 number?

OK so called Sandoz (thank you Janie! embarrassed that I didn't think of that)....the sucrose product is backordered until end of July but the rep said it will in all likelihood continue longer. This is the can of powder and the packets. I did not ask about the nutrisweet version although my local pharmacy had that in supply when I called yesterday. Was told it's most likely a particular ingredient shortage but she didn't know anything else.

Sigh....

I just got another box of Sandoz cholestyramine packets with sucrose from my CVA pharmacy. It took just a few days to get it in.
