Essential Oil

Post by Marcia K »

Hello. I started diffusing essentials during the winter last year. I use Rocky Mountain Oils which were recommended to me as they are high quality oils. I have sleep issues so I purchased Tranquility, which had great reviews for how it helped others to sleep. I diffused it one evening before bed and I had insomnia! It is very strong, and I'm thinking that I should have only used a drop or two and diffused it for a shorter length of time. Our family room is 21 x 13 and opens into the kitchen, so it wasn't in a small area. I googled and I read that essential oils can mess up hormones if they are diffused for too long a period of time. The Tranqility sort of hurt my lungs too, and my husband said the same thing. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
