Hi,

After reading the article, here are my conclusions:

Based on their testing methods, I would say that yes, if you are genetically predisposed to the development of an IBD, then using that ingredient might be significant. On the other hand, since everything we put in our mouth alters gut bacteria to some extent, just proving that a product alters gut bacteria is a rather ho-hum conclusion, with no particular significance. If someone who has an IBD is reacting, that product might definitely have a negative influence. If they're in remission, it's effect is probably negligible.

But that's just my initial opinion based on the fact that many of us are able to reach remission and stay there while using it (but maybe we don't use it — I sure don't). I'll change my opinion if none of us in remission are using it.
