Update on Coronavirus Treatment

Post by tex »

Here's some information that might come in handy if you or a family member happen to be diagnosed with Covid-19. If that should happen, please show this to your doctor:

According to this press release from the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, massive doses (doses in the range of 12,000–24,000 mg/day) of IV vitamin C are thought to be effective for treating viruses, including coronavirus. Note that this is a treatment, not a preventive dose; however, the doctor making this recommendation also suggests using vitamin C (in lower oral doses) for preventing coronavirus.

This was brought to my attention by a member here. Thanks Phyllis.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thank you, Tex. What is the best brand of Vitamin C for us to take?

There are probably a number of good brands, but I take Solaray Timed-Release capsules because it seems to be free of all of my sensitivities.

If you're still recovering, maybe not. It you're in remission and your intestines have done some healing, most of them should work, provided that their inactive ingredients are safe for you.
