Which supplements can be problematic?

Which supplements can be problematic?

Hello,

It's been a while since I last wrote here. I'm still looking for better health, but my stomach/gut problems got a lot better when I started on NDT (have Hashimotos), rotation diet and studying the three Principles.

I wonder which supplements work well and which ones work less well if you have microscopic colitis?

I know the forum recommends.
- B6, B9 and B12
- Vitamin D.
- Magnesium
Is there anything else?

How about supplements such as
- Vitamin A (vitamin, fish oil)
- Vitamin C (buffered)
- Vitamin E.
- Vitamin K.
- CoQ10

- Selenium
- Zinc
- Iodine

Is there anything that is directly problematic?

There are endless diet diets such as AIP, Keto, Carnivore etc.
Thus the Keto / Carnivore work if you have a microscopic colitis? Anyone tried?

Hello Jonas,

Whether you need those additional vitamins depends on your current level of malabsorption. If you don't have a malabsorption problem, you will probably get enough of them from your food. If you still have a malabsorption problem, then by now you probably need additional vitamin supplements. If you're taking a statin, you need CoQ10. If you search the archives, you'll find that we have a number of members here using the AIP, Keto, and paleo diets.
