Chicken eggs -- Duck Eggs

Post by Omilly1017 »

My EnteroLab tests show chicken eggs to be reactive (46 units) . In the past I have eaten eggs frequently because they are a great source of protein. I'm trying to find a source for duck eggs, but not having any luck. I am in Minnesota. If anyone has a source, please let me know.

I found these Vital Farm Organic Pasture Raised Eggs at Whole Foods Market (apparently they aren't raised on feed or grains - just foraging and eating grass).

Here is the link through Amazon --

I'm thinking I may try them. Anyone have any information on this product? Do you think that the reaction to the eggs is based on what the chickens eat?

Unfortunately, the immune system reaction against chicken eggs is not directed at the feed that the chickens have eaten. Instead, it's a reaction against the primary protein in the albumen (the egg white). Additionally, your EnteroLab score for chicken eggs was so high that your sensitivity level may well be too high to allow you to eat duck eggs, also. If you want to try them anyway, your best bet is probably at farmers markets, although a few supermarkets do carry duck eggs.

I hope this helps,
