Hello Everyone,
For the past couple of weeks I have been doing great. Just going once a day mainly in the mornings. Not watery, but not solid either. I went for my walk this morning and started cramping about the 2mile mark. I didn’t think I was going to make it home. By the time I got to the house the pain was so bad I almost went to the floor. I made it to the bathroom. And just cut loose with full on watery D. I have been making grilled cheese on occasion and seem to do ok. Well I’m was out of hard brick cheese. And substituted with cheese singles. That was the only difference in my diet. I guess I messed up?
When I left the house for my walk I felt great. I can’t believe how fast it hit? Absolutely no warning!

How long had it been since the last time you ate any grilled cheese when you left the house for your walk?

This is just a guess, but because that drug has an elimination half-life of nine days, and when I look for the possibility of diarrhea as a side effect in the medical literature, diarrhea doesn't appear to have been a symptom that was considered in the research. Unless I'm overlooking it somewhere, in safety research studies of Ranibizumab, intestinal perforations, and intestinal hemorrhaging have been considered in the studies, but I don't see a mention, either pro or con, concerning the possibility of diarrhea as a side effect. I may be 
, but I'm wondering if the exercise due to a relatively long walk, so soon after the injection, might have prompted a reaction. I note that nausea is listed as a possible side effect, and often, when nausea is a possibility, so is diarrhea. It's pretty likely that when the manufacturer trials used for the FDA application were designed, IBD patients were excluded. They usually are, anyway, unless the treatment being trialed is specifically for an IBD. That implies that sometimes, certain drugs can have unintended effects that only show up for IBD patients (since they were excluded from the trials).
But as I said, this is just a wild guess.

I have taken Lucentis for about five years. Had a few scares with infections etc. but I must say the drug has helped me maintain a portion of my vision. Finding a restroom when in a flair an be challenging lol. Fighting blindness has even my biggest battle. And now LC. But life is still good and there are many things to be grateful for. I was to thank everyone here for your input and experiences that have been shared here. It has been tremendously helpful. One day at a time. Please forgive my typingand grammar I dictate a lot.

I'm not sure where you live but in the US I think hard brick cheese is safer than cheese that is singles. I recently looked at a lot of packages of cheese and it appeared that the singles of cheese are more processed, have more additives and chemicals etc. The hard bricks are more likely to be just cheese.
I rarely have cheese but just bought a hard brick that was labeled and tested to be GF.
