Vitamin Infusion?

Post by crervin »

Hi all,

I wanted to see if anyone is familiar with vitamin infusions and have saw good results from having them. I take vitamin d3 drops, Dr. Dean's Remag (magnesium), and Remyte (minerals) daily. I don't take the full doses of Remyte and Remag, though because it bothers my bladder (I have interstitial cystitis). I do take sublingual B-complex, but not daily. I have got to start remembering that in the morning!

I have not been able to find a vitamin C that I can take without causing issues, along with omega 3, or iron. So I thought with my current chronic histamine intolerance that I cannot for the life of me get under control, a vitamin infusion would help. I read where vitamin C could help with that. I really believe that is why I can't get it under control, but who knows. I try to eat oranges occasionally but it is hard to tolerate them. I am sure the infusion is pricey, but right now I would love to eat meat without itching, gut cramps, and lower back pain. I am down to only turkey and sometimes it bothers me too. Honestly, it is the luck of the draw at the supermarket on how long it has sat there! I have saw where these medical spas are offering infusions. There is one in the city where I live that I have been looking into. I don't know how safe that is, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with it. They actually offer only vitamin C infusions also.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. My last resort is to see if my 2 cats might be causing my histamine problems, but my kids would be devastated without them. They are only 6 years old so I am looking at many more years with them

Thank you!
Martha E.

Hi Martha,

I know virtually nothing about vitamin infusions, but I just wanted to point out that I've had unrelenting histamine issues, myself, for the last month or 2, despite the fact that I believe I've minimized the histamine content of my diet. I'm not sure what's causing the problem, but I note that it's coinciding with cedar pollen season here. I take a thousand milligrams of oral vitamin C daily, and have done so for at least a year or 2. I've tried all sorts of things, but so far, I haven't found a solution. If you find one, please don't keep it a secret.

This is crazy! I guess I will chalk it up to global warming! At the rate my area is chopping down trees for subdivisions, I may not be suffering much longer….

I guess vitamin C may not help me. I just keep feeling like I am low in something due to my food intake. If I find out anything, I will definitely let you know.

It just dawned on me that our Inflammation levels might be up because of the stresses caused by constantly living with Covid surges. Stress causes inflammation, and when the background inflammation level goes up, that certainly doesn't help anything. Also, just because vitamin C doesn't seem to help me doesn't actually mean that it doesn't. I just may not be noticing the difference, or I may not have been vitamin C deficient in the first place, because I haven't been avoiding vitamin C. It's certainly possible that it might help in your case, so I wouldn't write it off just because of my experience.

Yep, there aren't many trees around here to chop down, because this is agricultural country — but development is springing up all around us, too, and at the rate they're building on, and paving over good, productive farmland, I can't help but wonder how long it will be before we're standing in line begging China to please send more food over here (along with everything else). but long before that happens, from here to the West Coast, we're going to run out of water. The major cities in Texas are using water as if we have unlimited applies, and yet all of the lakes around here are already oversubscribed and the aquifers are steadily declining. If we have a prolonged drought, which is certainly an ever-present possibility here in Texas, everyone is going to be mighty surprised when the lake water quickly disappears, and the aquifer levels drop down to below the suction filters on their pump lines.

That’s interesting Tex, thank you for bringing that up. I forgot that stress impacts me too. I really have been stressed about Covid, my son’s new diet, and my young niece passing unexpectedly. My daughter has covid now, she had her first shot a week ago 🤦🏼‍♀️. Luckily her symptoms are mild. She has been locked in her room for 5 days, I am trying to keep everyone else healthy. My husband and I got our boosters 2 weeks ago, thank goodness!

So true about development. We don’t need to rely on China for anything else…. I honestly don’t know how many more houses can get squeezed in around here. We moved to the outskirts of Chattanooga for the country and now there is not much country left.

I agree that ongoing covid stress is impacting.

Everything at the moment takes lots of extra energy. my work place and impact of covid (staff sick or isolating) and supply chain issues, staff unsettled about it, customers unsettled about it.
And then I go to do shopping and some of my 'safe' ingredients are not available, and not available on line, so I had figure out plan b for my weekly cook up etc

I have had ongoing diarrhoea since my fall on New Years Day. First time in over 8 years that I am taking small dose of cholestraymine every day. this has reduced multiple urgent watery motions to 1-2 MC mud motions per day. given my tendency to constipation I am very careful with dosage amount.

Doing my best to avoid mainstream social media / crappy news to try and keep my mental stability!
