Digestive Enzyme Question-Enterolab

Post by cmscalise »

Hello,
I was advised by Dr. Fine to purchase his digestive enzymes as well as the 1-day Intestinal Renewal Kit, featuring a special Intestinal Flora Fertilizer and Oro-Intestinal probiotics) I'm not too sure why. Based upon my test results-(Pancreatic Elastase Stool Test- 434 µg/g -Normal Range is greater than 400 µg/g feces). Anyway, my question, can anyone tell me what the ingredients are in his Enzymes? They aren't listed on his website and I already have digestive enzymes that I purchased through a health practitioner. I don't want to be purchasing the same thing twice. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi!
Thanks for reaching out. I actually have no opinion on the digestive enzymes. In my Enterolab report is was recommended by Dr. Fine that I purchase them. In the past, I worked with a health practitioner and I took them for Sibo, but they never did much for me. I wanted to see if Dr. Fine's were the same as what I took before. It seems everyone wants you to purchase some magic pill to take. I believe it needs to be addressed through the foods we eat first. Not that supplementation is bad. I am just so tired of spending money, lol.

I tend to think that it is a marketing encouragement more so than a health requirement

our experience is that in early stages of healing, less is better, keep it simple

low inflammation, low amount of ingredients eating plan. Vit D3 and magnesium as starting point for supplements
get inflammation levels down and allow the body to heal at its own pace. things like digestive enzymes will not promote healing per say.

with healing and minimal inflammation the body will produce the right digestive enzymes itself.

Hello! So is it better to not take a probiotic during a flare? ....and then just wait until the inflammation is gone (like when weaned off buedsonide) to reintroduce one?

That usually works best for most of us, but we're all different, so that's not chiseled in stone.
