Is it possible to make a theories thread, or would it get too wild?
One of the things I wonder a lot about are hormones. I find it interesting that historically this was a disease that affected menopausal women, obviously a time of changing hormones. We in this group know that's not the only group affected though. Still, it's also interesting that pregnancy, another time of changing hormones, can either put it into remission or at least mask symptoms. Furthermore, if I understand correctly, steroids are synthetic hormones...and, of course, they help our symptoms a great deal. But we also know men get this too. So then I have to wonder about all of the endocrine disruptors that exist in our world. From the soaps we use on our hands, hair, and bodies, to the candles we burn, to the hormone-injected meat and genetically modified foods we eat, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility that hormones are disrupting our bodies...and could play a role in this? There's an interesting book called "Estrogeneration: How Estrogenics Are Making You Fat, Sick, and Infertile" where he discusses just how flooded with hormones our society has become.
Of course I'm in no way educated on this, and I'm looking at this very simplistically. But wanted to see if any of you smarties could add to this or share your theories. I know in Tex's book (I haven't finished it yet), he mentions stress. While I don't doubt it, it's hard for me to identify my stressor/s. Maybe I'm chronically stressed, but I don't even realize it? I'll have to finish the book to understand further :)
On a side note, I feel bad for spamming this forum so much recently. I'm just at the point in my healing journey where this disease is all I think about . I try to use the search function to avoid duplicate questions, but sometimes I can't find what I'm looking for. I really truly appreciate the support and time taken to help though!

Re: Theories thread
dont apologise for spamming - it is healthy to contemplate the various aspects
re hormones my thoughts are - I think its impact on on health can be simplified. For women, hormone fluctuations during the month deplete magnesium.
Magnesium deficiency means our bodies do not use the Vit D3 properly for healing
on another level - if you have issues with your methylation cycle (generally related to nutrient deficiencies) then the hormones are affected.
modern day high toxin lifestyle, along with food supply chain that is lacking in key nutrients means our bodies are not operating correctly
that is is why we encourage simple whole foods eating plan, low toxin lifestyle and key nutrients as the foundation for healing.
