Entero Lab - Second Testing

Post by hopealways »

I received my first Entero Lab results in June 2022 after I was diagnosed with Main 2021. I recently re-tested in late February to help determine what was going on with flares becoming more frequent.
My question is about two of the antigenic foods that are tested by Etero Lab: tuna and cashews.
My Entero results in 2022 showed both tuna and cashews in the 2+ grouping. I was puzzled a bit since I didn't eat either of those foods. I did stop taking my omega 3 fish oil supplements however.
My current results for 2024 show both tuna and cashews in the 3+ grouping. Now I am more puzzled than ever! I have never eaten fish and still do not eat cashews.
Can anyone shed some light on where these two foods are coming from? I have checked all my supplements and did not find evidence of either. I don't use pre-packaged food. Cook 99% of all the food I eat.
Thanks for any insight you might have.

Yes, I believe I can tell you why that happens. As we stop eating the foods that cause us to react, our immune system begins searching even harder for those foods, and it becomes even more sensitive, until after a few years without detecting any of those foods. Then it begins to relax, and return to normal sensitivity levels. Retesting so soon usually doesn't provide helpful information because of that characteristic of the immune system.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
