BRRRRRRR>>>>>in TX

Post by annie oakley »

It's 7:11 am and close to 24 degrees. I am cold this am. Mike told me I didn't need to go to San Angelo job hunting today...I put in 3 apps yesterday over the net. He said I need to take my truck in to the chev house as the engine light stays on. BIL had same problem and the had to drop the gas tank as there was something under there malfunctioning. Sounds good huh? ANyway I will go local today and try and get the truck looked at (still under warrenty) and put a couple apps in Our local town of BAllinger. No leaves their job there unless they die. Well got to go and cuddle with Buck and Jasmine and a fuzzy blanket til I warm up. Love Oma

Good luck with the truck. Hope it's nothing major. Or if it's major, that it's under warrenty! My job today is go to the dentist in one hour. Can't wait, this toothache is killing me.

How's the knee?

Give Jasmine and Buck a scratch behind the ears from me. Good doggies, keepingyou warm. And good luck job-hunting!

Good luck with the dentist and truck repairs, and Tex....stay warm! We are close to breaking a record for rainfall....many mud slides and flooding too! Amtrack is cancelled between Bellingham and Portland... Too many slides! The wind woke me up last night...I had to search in the garden for my newspaper this morning...it blew off the porch. I also have a possum in the trap on my roof....so there you have it .....the morning NW report! Just another day in paradise!

Poor Oma

Post by Momster »

That's cold for Texas, isn't it? We're getting the same weather as Jill, being on the northwest coast - rainy, but warm temperatures. Not good for achy bones, though.

Bundle up, Oma, and don't go out unless you have to.

Jill, a possum in a trap on your roof? Who will take it out. Careful because they can give an awful bite when frightened. Best to call animal control. Do you get many of them there? We have quite a few here and racoons too, and I have trapped possums and let them go elsewhere with John's help, of course.

Love - Momster

Hi Momster...the traps were set by a Critter Control Company. They are trying to trap the squirrels that moved into my ceiling. There are a zillion possums around now too...you see them dead on the road all the time. Sad for them. I never saw them aaround when I was a kid. We have raccoons all over the place too. Never used to see them so close to the city. I called the company when I got to work and they came and removed the critter...the two cages were empty when I got home from work. The landlord said he would check each day at lunch time, but then the critters would have to stay in the cage until the next day! I call right away when I see them....they may be rodents, but I don't want them to suffer.
