Risk of recovery foods becoming trouble

Post by onebigpill »

I’m curious, should I be concerned that my recovery phase 1 foods will become intolerances?

Following a strict diet now, for phase 1 recovery.

Mostly no D but some regular headaches.

As long as you're following the elimination diet that we recommend, there's no risk of you becoming sensitive to any of those foods. We can only be sensitive to 11 foods, and those are the ones that EnteroLab tests for with the combination of panels A1 + C1. As long as you are not eating any of those foods, you shouldn't be concerned about developing any new sensitivities to the foods recommended for an elimination diet.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

It’s understandable to be concerned, but it sounds like you’re on the right track. From what I’ve learned, following the recommended elimination diet should keep you safe from developing new sensitivities to the phase 1 recovery foods. I’ve read similar advice that as long as you avoid the specific foods that commonly cause issues, you should be fine. Keep going, and hopefully, those headaches will also start to lessen soon!
