Hello all.
I have been looking for possible causes for my current MC symptoms (occasional watery stool, mucous and weight loss). I did read in one of the celiac sites that spackle often contains wheat starch. Has anyone heard of that? I spackled some holes my old apartment and it involved sanding down the dried spackle once it set (and I did not wear a mask or gloves, drat). That was a little over two weeks ago. I'm trying to determine if the spackling is the likely cause or if I am engaging in wishful thinking - I hate mystery causes of MC symptoms. Still on the same diet - lamb, sweet potatoes and water (filtered or distilled) and that's the same diet I had during my 6 months of remission. Continuing my D3 and Magnesium as well.

there is a recent article in the MC foundation newsletter that talks about airborne gluten particles if a MC'er is sharing a house with people using normal flour
long story short yes - the airborne particles of the contents of the spackle can be the cause of issues
keep in mind that there might other ingredients in the sparkle that may cause inflammation so you may have had contact with multiple triggers
Acute health effects
From MSDS:
