Need advice can’t get frisk Doctors
I am desperately in need of help from you guys!! was diagnosed with MC 10 years ago after a horrific year of completely debilitating illness that left me nearly bedridden for a couple months It took almost a year to be able to go back to work and was fine relatively up until a year and a half ago. I got covid and two weeks later was very sob for about 2 weeks. My Dr did testing and said I needed to do a detox program. Elevated liver enzymes and at times kidney enzymes. I finally did the detox and got so so sick. It brought back my MC symptoms. Ended up in ER a week in and stopped but the MC would not go away. Took my diet back to the basics with turkey zucchini carrots chicken avocado and sometimes apple Previously I was able to eat most food except gluten and dairy This summer I was diagnosed with lymes disease and some bad bacteria in my gut. They tried cipro. Bad reaction Bacrim. Bad reaction. Then Caprylic acid. It made me feel great except I started getting numbnesss and tingling in my hands and feet and intermittent chest pain So had to stop. Ugh I react to EVERYTHING. It’s insane. Guessing mast cell issues. I’m also having adrenal fatigue and take B5 for that and vitamin c. I need to stop the vitamin c but when I tried my symptoms got horrific. Random pain all over my body. Veins even ache and blood vessels in hands blow and swell up with lightest pressure. Now my muscles in my legs twinge and spasm for now reason and intermittent chest pain. My eyes get irritated very easily too. Been at eye Dr like 10x in past year and usually get steroids. I’m in menopause now so maybe that’s a factor too. My estrogen is low and testosterone is high for some reason. My Dr told me to back off my methyl b vitamin (pure encapsulation). But that made it sooo much worse. Now I’m trying to take just tiny bits of the supplement and it makes me so anxious I can hardly stand it. I do take 500mg of methyl b12. Magnesium topical four times a day too Methyl folate 5mg. B5 500mg and a probiotic. I stopped vitamin d for the past few weeks as my level was 99.8 at the beginning of the month. I will get it rechecked tomorrow. Numbness in hands and feet continues at times I feel weak to walk now too and desperately don’t want to be bed bound again. Any advice appreciated. Drs just seem to make me worse

Hi,
Welcome to the group. It's the liver's job to detox the body. It's extremely unlikely that the liver itself ever needs to be detoxed. The liver automatically purges any toxins that it removes — it doesn't just store them. It purges toxins both in the urine and in stool, depending on the type. Most of those detoxing schemes, whether they be for the liver, the intestines, or something else, are more likely to damage organs than to provide any benefits. Usually, the damage is reversible, but not always.
Unless the probiotic you're taking is customized for your digestive system, it may be preventing you from reaching remission. Probiotics are not tolerated by some of us while we're attempting to recover. Whenever we're taking any medications or supplements, other than vitamin D and magnesium, while we're trying to recover, we're less likely to be able to recover, because it's impossible to tell which of them might be triggering reactions against them. Your current situation appears to be so complex and convoluted that it's extremely difficult to predict where you need to start making changes to get your health back.
Before attempting to develop a recovery plan, we need to assess and prioritize your biggest risks. To begin with, how clean is your diet? Is it absolutely free of gluten, casein, soy, and chicken egg?

Thank you so much! Your group has been a Godsend and I’ve gotten so much more help from you guys than any Dr. Wow thank you for the information on the liver detox I know that was the trigger than set me into this mess. Yes I am completely dairy grain and egg free. I have a three year old who is not however and I am super careful but cross contamination is possible. Even when I was healed prior I avoided gluten and dairy. I was able to eat eggs and some rice and corn But not now. I literally eat only zucchini apple ground turkey with no spices or chicken carrot and avocado and sweet potato I make and drink bone broth too. It’s gross but ya know if it helps whatever I’m orange from the beta carotene lol. I can get rid of the probiotic if you guys think that could be the culprit. My body is just super hyper reactive I am afraid to take stuff and scared to not take my meds. My methyl b vitamins make me so anxious anymore maybe I need to heal more before I can add them back in I’ve been on such a limited diet for so long I know I have some major nutrient deficiencies. I was reading more posts this week and read where you posted we can’t tolerate vitamin c. I have been taking a vitamin c powder with various vitamins for several years And it has folic acid and cyanocobalin b12 in it!!! Ugh!! I think I am a MTHFR so I’ve been poisoning myself. I stopped it this morning but am terrified my adrenals won’t hold up without it. But this has to be removed to get better. Thanks for reading and any other input. Im determined I’m going to get back in remission. Enterolab said chicken walnut and white potatoes are my safe foods but I don’t think I can tolerate walnuts yet I will try adding white potatoes maybe
Thanks
Thanks

EnteroLab results have been very accurate for most of us, over the years. But if you believe that you have histamine issues, then turkey would be a much better protein choice than chicken, because like fish, when chicken is fresh frozen, it's fine. But even when stored in the refrigerator, it quickly becomes a high histamine food. It only remains a low histamine food if it's always stored at temperatures below 0° Fahrenheit. Other safe protein sources include lamb, goat, rabbit, venison, duck, goose, antelope, and shellfish, including shrimp, prawns, oysters, clams, mussels, lobsters, etc.
If carbs are a problem it's possible to stay totally healthy on an all meat diet, as long as the meat contains a reasonable amount of fat. Good health requires protein and fat, but carbs and fiber are totally optional. A few members here have recovered on an all meat diet, because healing requires a lot of protein, but I have no way of knowing whether anyone would heal faster on an all meat diet, or not. Without adequate basic research to support that claim, it's just an option, at this point.
Regarding taking the active forms of B vitamins, I've been taking one Thorn Laboratories Methyl Guard + capsule daily, for many years, with no ill effects that I'm aware of.
I hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I did not realize that fresh chicken had that much histamine I have been buying fresh of both I have a turkey farm close by so I will go buy a case of frozen turkey and try that
I take a methyl folate but it is 5mg vs 1. I will try that one you use and see if I can tolerate it better
Many many thanks Tex
