MD? DO? Functional Health? Naturopath?

Post by onebigpill »

I would really like to find a medical professional to take this journey with. Does anyone absolutely love their doctor? If so, why? Has anyone found a doctor or medical professional who is willing to talk about and treat MC with diet changes? I’m really struggling to find a medical professional to work with.

I’m in Ohio, in the U.S., and I’m interested in a medical professional to partner with, if they’re really good, anywhere in the U.S.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

My observation after being part of this group for near 15 years, and being reliant on Functional Health for 10 years prior to my MC diagnosis.

There is no MC guru per say. (Tex is the closest thing to a MC guru)

MC is different to UC, Crohns etc and as per the various discussions here, what works for one person can cause total chaos for another, there is no one guaranteed solution for MC that works for every one

You have to be the advocate of your health. Figure out what works, what doesn't and adjust diet, lifestyle etc around this.
Listen to your body, translate what it is telling you.

Functional Health practitioners have helped me a lot (functional Chiro, Acupuncture etc) they dont CURE the issues, they help balance the immune system reactions and guide me to what is needed to optimise healing.

Completely agree with you Gabes….its a frustrating journey to say the least. I check periodically with different news outlets to see if anything has had a breakthrough with LC, CC or Microscopic colitis in general. Tex is the only one I’ve come across who has been there done that enough who tells it like it is in the most kind way possible.
