Telephone Call from Dr. Fine

Guess who left a message on my phone last night? YUP! Dr. Fine. He called to personally extend an invitation to the conference to all of the members of our website here. He is hoping to meet as many of us as possible and says he is extremely indebted to all of us for the support we have given him over the years.

I know I have not yet said whether I am going. I would love to go more than ANYTHING (not just to meet Dr. Fine, but also to have the chance to meet Wayne, Matthew, Luce, etc.). Unfortunately, the time coincides with the major annual community fundraising weekend event that is sponsored by the Oregon Ridge Nature Center, of which I am a board member. I have many responsibilities for this event, both before and during the actual weekend activites. (Our event is always scheduled for the first weekend in March). I was SO disappointed when I saw the date for the conference. If I had had a little more lead time, I might have been able to more easily delegate some of my responsibilities. As it is, I am trying to do that now, but I don't know if I will be successful. Everyone already works so hard that I feel guilty piling my work on someone else. But I will keep trying.
