Midnight hour

Post by annie oakley »

Well....I got three night worth of sleep before the old insomnia bug hit again. Soooo here I am eating home made sugar cookies at 11:40 p.m.
I mad a great dinner tonight....last night I made a roast, so tinight I took all the left overs and put them between two pie crusts and baked it. Chocolate chip and sugar cookies for dessert.
We have cats running wild all over out here. One was jumping all over the tin roof so I sent Michael out to get him gone. Next thing I hear is a shot from a pistol......he missed. I didn't tell him to shoot him. The wild ferrel cats out here tear up everything....they get in the shed and into everthing.
They don't even take care of the mice population.
Well I guess I will go and move Buckmaster out of my place and try to go back to sleep. I hate insomnia. I tried head phones with music etc. But No Tylenol P.M. Love Oma

Hi Oma. Have you tried the nice relaxing music. I find it helps me. Not a perfect solution, mind, but worth a try. Also try using relaxation techniques. Relax each muscle group in turn. It may sound a little silly but I "talk" to each part of my body, tightening & then relaxing in turn. Tension can make it harder to fall asleep. We start thinking about our problems & that makes are more tense & so it goes. Try recognising each area of tension & conciously letting it go loose. Worth a try Oma. You have nothing to lose. A relaxation tape may help as well.

Love

Hi Liz... I learned that at a seminar years ago...but it hasn't worked this round of insomnia. I guess I will try and get back into my meditation. Maybe that will help. Love Oma
