Back from the twilight zone
Well , we (BIL, SIL, Hubby & Me) went to step MIL house. The guys mowed and finished cleaning out Daddy's tool shed. Burned alot of stuff. Us girls went thru paperwork and other things for her in the house. But Had to leave around 2, as I have to work tomorrow, everyone else had chores at home as well and besides........after so long this woman could make a Saint pull hair from the head. But we are back home. A/C froze up when we got home. Now I can call theat so-called A/C guy and say ok Bud Now we got something to work with. Ha ! Pluse tonight til 11:00 pm we are under another tornado watch. Cross fingers for us, we do not need a tornado. Love to all The Herb Lady

HI Oma!
I watched the weather channel earlier and saw that the weather was not supposed to be good in your neck-of-the-woods. Thought of you and others in Texas.
Hopefully, the bad weather will blow over!

We can hope for it to pass without incident. We will see. I worry about not being able to get my little Jasmine and Buckster out of the trailer and to safety before a tornado would hit. But hopefully we won't have to deal with it/ Love The Herb Lady

Herb Lady,
I worry about you with all this bad weather, I am suspecting, you know what you are in for, living in Texas. I used to live in Alabama, and Grorgia, and my mom was from N. Carolina. Have relatives in Virginia and S. Carolina and Texas. I still never understand how you can live in a place with such scary weather? But then, people say to me, what about the earth quakes and volcanos?
I live in Vancouver, WA. We have MT. ST. Helens, the volcano that erupted in 1980. We live only about 30 mi. from it, and I am not afraid.
I am much more afraid of tornados. We had a few set down in Seattle, a few years ago.
Guess it depends on what you are afraid most of. The weather is certainly changing, all over the country!!. Good luck, and God bless your family (furries especially, I am an animal lover). Please take care, Oma.
Love, KathyP

Thanks, I worry about weather, but I figure what will happen will happen. You are brave living 30 min from Mt St Helens. Hubby is going to be gone for a week out of town, I'm always afraid when he does that that he will come home after a storm and see that there isn't anything left..Ha Ha Anyway, we will be careful. Love Oma

Oh Oma....Hope you are safe...it would make me so nervous to worry about a tornado touching down. Like Kathy, I live in Wash. State. I am afraid of earthquakes....I still get jumping when ever I hear a strange rumbling noise! Yikes! We did have a tornado touch down in Tacoma when I was a youngster. It tore-up a path of trees on the golf course and came up our street...it stopped a block a way! So, take care dear Oma...I'll be thinking of you! Jill
Hi Kathy and Jill, (and Oma, too) You know what I think is weird? That "boom" sound like a sonic boom, but it's the sound an earthquake can make. Where were you when St Helens blew the first time? We were in Spokane at an air show at Fairchild AFB. Air raid sirens started screaming, we were told to clear the area, and this huge cloud came from the SW. It sort of looked like Portland had been atomic bombed. Then it started snowing! But of course it wasn't snow.

Well we made it thru the storm ok It is hot and muggy today. Hubby and BIL have been welding frame for our metal barn today. So we can at least get a roof and some of the sides up before we really get hit with hail. I am tired today and have had a bad stomache all day and a headache. To make it worse, husband is leaving town for an electrical job around Corpus Christi for a week, I hate it when He is gone. But it makes the payment on the land. And I will be visiting this board more, as I don't well when he's gone. I must get some tylenol pm tomorrow. And some soda's since I am out and had to scrounge for one this evening. Ahh found one. And now it it time to so..........bye loved ones Love Oma
