I realize that paleo people leave peanuts for the elephants, and maybe I am the only one who was not aware of this already, but today, (while looking for Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter), I came across SKIPPY Naural Peanut Butter, which I had never seen before, so I picked up a jar to try.
The stuff is great. Not only does it have a great taste and texture, but the oil does not separate out, the way it does with other "natural" butters. (In fact that feature is advertised right on the front of the label). I'm not sure how they accomplish that little trick, but the ingredient list shows: roasted peanuts, sugar, palm oil, salt. I'm guessing that they may extract the peanut oil, and replace it with palm oil, which stays congealed at room temperature. I'm predicting that this product will be a hit, at least among fans of "natural" peanut butter, since stirring peanut butter can be a bit aggravating, at times.
Incidentally, I couldn't find any regular Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, but I did see a new version with honey. At least I think it's a new version, since I've never seen it before. The ingredients are: peanuts, honey, salt. Of course the oil seperates out, and has to be stirred back in before using this one, because it's a conventional "natural" nut butter. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll bet it's great tasting.

Skippy Natural Peanut Butter
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

someone once told me that if you store the natural stuff upside down the oil rises to the bottom of the jar, and it makes it easier to just stir in a little oil in the bit you are using for that particular time frame. Also, you have oil left over for the dregs of the jar so your last few pb&j sandwiches aren't made with really dry peanut butter. Just make sure the lid is on tight!
