Tornado Watch

Post by annie oakley »

We are under a Tornado Watch til this evening. And a wind advisory. We are getting rain off and on for the last couple hours. It has really turned off cold quick. I told Mike I want a Storm Shelter built when we can afford it. Love Oma

Now the weather service says we are to expect 70 mph winds and 2.5 inch hail. And we are still under a tornado watch. We may go sailing tonight. Love Oma

Hi Oma,

We are expecting that same collision of fronts to pass through here anytime through tomorrow. Hail and tornado warnings out as well.

I really need to get dressed and go put the car in the garage, just in case of hail or damaging winds, but I'm a bit afraid of OTHER kinds of dangers now. (Had a shooting at the end of the next street a few weeks ago at dusk -- two masked men drove up behind a lady as she drove into her driveway, so she attempted to back up...big mistake, but it might've been because her husband was in the house, and she might've been afraid they'd shoot him. We pay for extra security that makes rounds all the time, but with the extra crime since a large no. of evacuees moved near here, there have been many more shootings in the city. Officials are doing a fairly good job rounding up those who were wanted for things in La, but there are still a few more bad guys out there.)

You are one of the reasons I checked in here.
At least Texas is getting some well needed rain. I mostly heard about Dallas/FW gettinga whole lotta rain. How has the Panhandle fared?

Yours, Luce
