Hi Everyone

Post by Momster »

Hi All:

I hope you're all having a nice day. It's sunny here, despite the weather predictions for rain. Hope it holds out for tomorrow when Peggy, her sister, Lisa, my sister, Donna and I go out for a nice lunch at the Little Country Farmhouse. Should be fun.

I'm still fighting that virus (losing today). I saw my doctor yesterday and she prescribed a puffer for my shortness of breath, lovely spray for my nostrils to try to clear up the post nasal drip (YUK!!! - I hate nasal sprays) and some cough syrup. She says this virus can last 6 - 8 weeks and can turn to pneumonia if I'm not careful. Well, will bundle up warm tomorrow and enjoy.

I want to say that I hope no one thinks I'm trying to use the Board to market my crafts. I only talk about them because they help me to cope with pain, etc. and felt that you would like to hear what I do for a way to help myself keep cheerful. I hope there are no misunderstandings about that. Just wanted to make that clear.
I find that doing something to pamper yourself can take your mind off your troubles, whether it be crafta, shopping, reading or anything else that makes you feel good.

We here on the Board have many life challenges and doing something positive helps to cope with negative feelings. For me it's creating something pretty. Another way is spending time with my family and having fun.

My husband has been so supportive in all this and I give him credit for his patience. He has had to cope with living with a person who is sick and done it well. He mostly always can keep a cheerful attitude and help me to get through my day. I'm a very fortunate woman.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful day and do something good for yourselves. Sending ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~to all.

Love - Momster :bigbighug:

Momster.....I don't think anyone thought that you were marketing your craft. I tell everyone and show them my afghans when I make them. I for one love to see the beaded work.....and would love to see the owl. I for one love to hear about and see other peoples crafts. It shows how diverse we all are, and besides are we not all family here?
I hope you get to feeling better soon. I am just getting over that nasty sinus stuff. It's 39 degrees here so me and the little dogs are cuddled up with their home made afghans. They have their own I made them. By the way I ran out of film, and when I get some more I have 4 new afghans that I have put together from odds and ends. 2 of which will go to the nursing home for anyone that needs them. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance

I'm with Oma. I love to see your crafts, and Oma's afghans, and Liz's quilted bags. I even posted a picture of my handmade grocery bags! I have been making more of them as I have had good feedback on people using them. We have varying levels of artistry (me at the bottom!) but I think it brings us closer to see the things we work on. Looking forward to seeing the new afghans, Oma, and maybe the beaded eagle when it's finished, Momster. The owl is beautiful.

Thanks, everyone. Just didn't want any misunderstandings.

You can see the beaded owl on Maggie's post about the owl has landed.

Love you all,

Momster

I'm so glad you mentioned crocheting...I totally forgot about my unfinished one in my closet!
Crafts are a great relaxing way to pamper yourself a little - at least that's what I think!

Love,
Mo
