A Very Chilled Peggy

Post by Momster »

Peggy dropped by on her way home from the event she volunteered at this morning with her teeth almost chattering, so we got some hot soup and coffee into her and thawed her out.
It was a nice visit - although I'm sure she was thoroughly disgusted at the mess in my craft room, which I'm organizing. John built some new shelves for me and now all I have to do is sort and put stuff away. That could take a year or so (hahaha). Well, maybe not quite that long, but I do have a big job ahead of me. Not today though.

I'm resting because I did a dumb thing today - tripped off a curb and fell on my bad knee so it's pretty sore, but no bruising yet - just redness.
Anyway, it only takes a second of not paying attention to go down.
I felt pretty stupid. Anyway, I'll survive.

Back to my couch and beading.

John is making supper tonight - baked potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms and steak. I don't eat much steak - only about 2 oz. but will especially enjoy the asparagus and mushrooms.

Have a nice rest of the weekend.

Love - Momster

Hi Momster...sorry about your fall...ouch!

I have not been cooking much lately...Your dinner sounds yummy! I pulled some leftover pot roast out of the freezer and will have that for dinner. I have not been watching my carbs lately, so may even whoop it up and have a baked potato with it. I went shopping today and found some smoked ham hocks, and.... bought some dry lima beans....I may go skiing tomorrow, so will slow cook the hocks in the crock pot and then add the beans when I get home...will taste good after a cold day. It has been snowing/raining in the mountains...I was going up today, but didn't want to turn into a popcicle like Pegster.

Take care and have a cozy evening! TTFN...JJ

Hey Momster, I've tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and fallen flat on my face. For a period, I was having a good fall once a year. Then there is the bumping into the corner of the coffee table and the wall! Doesn't happen much anymore.

You are definitely NOT stupid! Celia

OUCH! I hope the knee doesn't give you fits today. Usually the following day after an accident is worse. Take care of yourself.

Love,
Mars

Momster,

You are not allowed any more falls! Doctor's orders! I hope you are feeling OK today - the day or 2 after the fall is often more painful.

Celia,

I am a klutz too. I always attributed it to my deficient depth perception, but now I'm wondering if I could have had some cerebellar impairment due to gluten sensitivity. I think Luce recently noted that ataxia can go with the HLA DQ1 genes- and I have 2 of them! BTW, did you get the genetic test from Dr. Fine? If so, I must have missed the results.

Love,

Polly

Sore, but not bad

Post by Momster »

I'm up and about and not too sore. I can't believe I didn't bruise my knee because I usually bruise easily. The knee is sore to the touch and the muscle in my left arm is sore, so I think I must have born the brunt of the fall on my left arm trying to break my fall. It all happened so fast I can't figure it all out, but no serious damage. I don't need any more after that month long bout with that virus.
I'm sure Peggy is all warmed up - she was going home to a nice hot bath and a cuddle up n the couch with her blanket and hopefully her kitty, Buster.
It's supposed to be rainy again today, so I'm not going to far. Just rest and get ready to tackly my monster mess in my craft room tomorrow - in between doing my taxes.

Have a nice Sunday.

Love - Momster

*no, Polly, I didn't do the Dr. Fine test. Never really looked into it. I should take a look.
