Crazy week...........

Post by Mars »

Hi everyone,

I haven't dissapeared, just been sooooooo busy. Let's see........

Trisha has decided to try to work it out with Craig (don't know any more than that)

Buying a boat - big one for the lakes - 21' cuddy cabin w/sink, stove, cooler and room for a porta potty (advertised that way). Thought that was funny.

Larry's dad had a colonoscopy about 10 days ago without being given the results right away like everyone else I know. He called the kids to the house on Saturday to tell us he has a tumor on his colon. It has to be removed but don't know anything until he speaks with the doctor on Thursday. I am meeting him there to ask some questions and so that we understand the responses. He tends to confuse things or leave out the important things. Short term memory loss since the stroke.

I'm off to get my hair colored and cut tomorrow after work. I'm really thinking of going shorter w/lots of layers and heigth on top. I need to remove lots since summer is on it's way and I have such a head of thick wavy hair. I'll take pics and send if I decide to do it. I bought about 5 hairstyle magazines and I keep going back to the same picture. Guess it's what I'm looking for!

It's been raining here and cool. Wish it would stop but they are expecting rain thru the weekend.

Till later,
Mars

Mars,

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law. I hope they can get that under control without complications.

Hey, you sound a lot better. I'm guessing that Trisha's decision helped. Are you sleeping better now? Are you feeling a lot better in general?

Love,
Wayne

Hi ya Wayne!

Not feeling too bad. The back is not as bad pain-wise as it was but I'm still going 3 times per week. Some days are worse than others.

Trisha's decision has helped but I don't ask any questions and she isn't volunteering any. (sigh) Guess she's an adult and needs to deal with it on her own. I'm just the "mom"! In this case, no news is good news I guess!

I'm still needing to take the Ambien. I tried not taking it on Saturday and no change in the sleepng pattern. Same "aware of everything - light sleep" like before. Don't know what the deal is but I am only allowed to refill the RX twice more. I guess I'm going to have to go to the doc and discuss the issue further. (another sigh). Still fatigued during the day too........ it's getting quite old! :yikes:

Other than that, things are moving right along. One day at a time I guess. It could be worse though!

How are you doing? Feeling ok? How's the cacti thorns? Did they work themselves out? Made me shiver thinking how that must feel. I got some in my hand through gloves when I planted mine. Never again! I'll use pliers or welding gloves before that happens again! lol

Love,
Mars

Mars,

Whatever you do, don't go to Grannyh's doctor with your back. I hope that what you are doing will do the job as well as anything.

You'd think that your doctor could come up with a physical or chemical reason for the sleep problem, rather than just telling you to go through the proper routine each night, before going to bed. Something within you has changed, to cause such a sudden and persistent problem. Even with bad sleep habits, you would eventually sleep better than you are, (after you got tired enough--which you have certainly accomplished many days ago). Anyway, I'm glad that your situation is improving.

I'm doing ok. The thorns that were left in my hide were only the tiny ones, and they're a part of me now, I guess. I shaved off the stubs, so that they wouldn't snag on my clothes, and in a few days the redness and soreness just dissappeared. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected.

I hope your doc can come up with an inspiration or two.

Love,
Wayne

Sorry about the cactus, Wayne. I swear those things have it in for me. The little hairlike thorns practically jump out to implant themselves.

Hey Mars,

Maybe your daughter should get married in Vegas, and invite everyone to witness. Then you don't need to plan and get so invested in it. Daughters: gotta love 'em.

Marsha,

I usually try to steer clear of cactus plants, (since I don't enjoy picking out thorns), but this one snuck up behind me while I wasn't looking. LOL.
