The steroids for my back darn near killed me twice! The bright side is that my collagenous colitis is still in remission. The downside is that I may have to stay on the blood pressure meds forever..they are pretty strong. I don't know how athletes can mess with steroids..they sure screwed my life up!

All I can say is WOW! What an experience! I'm glad you did fine on the stress test, though.

The hospital/clinic made a lot of money on that doctor's ill-advised prescription, didn't they.

I'm not sure I understand the situation with the BP meds. Are they to lower your BP, or stabilize it, or both?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

You've really been through the mill, Shirley! I hope you didn't have to pay that $13,000 ---- that would be enough to elevate anyone's stress test. I'm glad it turned out ok!

Good God Granny, $13000. That's huge. Did you have the Presidents physician or something. They certainly get plenty out of you for these tests & such. Stress tests are not the best of experiences to undergo. The cardiologist kept me going for ages & I thought I was going to die. Could not breathe & was gasping for breath. I take Micardis Plus 80/12.5 once per day for blood pressure which is keeping pretty good at the moment.

Good that your CC is in remission though. I think mine was for a while but it is acting up again now.

Love

Liz

The $13000+ (I don't have all the bills yet) includes the trips to the hospital for the steroid od where I darn near stroked out.

I am taking Norvasc 10 mg once a day at night. It is to lower and stabilize my blood pressure. Whatever the steroids did..they threw my blood pressure out of whack!

I do wonder when norman will take a hike tho...LOL
