New GP wanted me to see the GI doc
I went to my GI yesterday on the request of my new doc, I guess just for a once over. The GI agrees with everything I am doing, short-term Entocort when necessary, Asacol, avoiding gassy foods, etc. He much prefers Entocort over Prednisone and was impressed I chose that route myself without seeing him. I told him about this wonderful group, the research, the diet some are on, etc. We discussed the difference between LC and CC and he believes the diet will help those with LC, but not CC. I told him if it works for them, great, especially if they don't have to take meds...he could only agree.
I also thanked him again for the letter he gave me in 2003 that still enables me to travel much more comfortably on planes and that I've gotten the opportunity to use it because of my friends here LOL.
Hugs
Peggy
p.s. Luce the question you asked about Carole I prefer to let her answer herself.

Yes, Barbie, I do agree what an inspiration everyone here has been and the road to wellness is one I want to keep traveling!
The neck is doing very well, thanks for asking. The pain is not gone, but certainly much much much better! I did really well on the long drives to and from Spokane neck-wise. Now I just have to start doing more house cleaning...I can't use the neck as an excuse anymore
Love ya doll

Hi Peggy. Sounds like you & your GI are getting along just fine. Makes all the difference when you have one who not only understands your problems but takes note of your own observations & feelings about how your body reacts to different meds. I think that we know ourselves best & more doctors should be prepared to listen to what we have to say about what we have learned.
Good luck with the house cleaning, darned thankless task. Don't know why we bother, it only gets dirty again.
Just finished mine for the day. Robert is very good though. He does the vacuuming & come along after him with the mop. He also puts on & hangs out the washing, says it is his job. I don't mind now that he understands that you do not put dark things in with fluffies or red things in with white. Also he must not stretch the bottom of T shirts along the line as you peg them.
We work really well together. He cleans the outside of windows as I do the inside.
Barb do you have to clean up after you cook or do you do what my ex-chef brother used to do when he visited. Toss everything in the direction of the sink hoping that a kitchen hand would come along & wash up for him. I straightened him out about that.
Love

UGH Housework. Peg, if you've got Ron doing it now, I'd keep using that poor neck, even if it is getting better! Geoff and I had it out again yesterday about the housework. We are both so tired after work and our weekends have been so busy that the house is a cluttered disaster area.
Glad your GI thinks you are on a good regime.
