Oh Sis!

Why am I not surprised? That constant "game" that Lynn and Lou play with each other shows no signs of stopping, does it? Just remember.......YOU don't have to play the game. And you don't have to be upset by it. And you are not responsible for the situations that Lou and Lynn create. Whenever those phone calls and car rides come up, can you ignore it all and just go on with whatever you want to do for yourself? Create something fun for yourself to do if you like. A chat with a friend, a long walk, shopping, etc. Stand firm and refuse to be dragged into their issues. It is their game, not yours.

And yesssss, keep on BREATHING.

Thinking of you and sending lots of love and namaste,

Polly

Hi Barbara..I'm sorry to hear that Kait doesn't want to stay at school for the long weekend. I work at a boarding school, and the girls that go home every weekend don't bond with the other kids as well as the girls who stay at school. Maybe she will stay at school from now on? Is she making friends and enjoying her classes? Keep us posted...I agree with Polly....take care of "you", and do something special for yourself. Take care...JJ

Hi Barb,

I just thought of something you might like, and it helped me tons. It's a book called "The Dance of Anger" by Harriet Lerner. It's available at used book stores. I don't normally recommend self-help kinds of books, but honestly, this one is a very cool book. Just thought I'd mention it, and I totally sympathize with how you're feeling.

Barb. I'm with Polly. It is only upsetting you if you get involved in what is happening with Lou & Lynn. If Lou agrees to do something that Lynn asks him, then let it be on his head. If he later complains, then just tell him it was his descision, not yours. Distance yourself from it & get on with what you want to do.

Love

Liz
