JJ----about diving

Post by barbaranoela »

I saw your posting about swimming with the sting rays--- and I had to tell U that Louie, also a diver, swam with them in the Cayman's too--

We were talking about this tragedy---and Lou was saying how docile and just beautiful they are---
Like U, a bunch went down and just watched and fed them  Lou was thrilled----

I have a picture of him with a shark----that was another thrill---again going with a bunch--and feeding the sharks---

NOT ME----I stay ATOP the water---

But he had to give it up due to a problem that would be causing him to be chancing his dives----and DAN wouldnt guarantee him insurance coverage---
So he gave up something that he just luved---but @ least he enjoyed a few years of being a diver---

That is so cool....I snorkeled at a place called Sting Ray City on Grand Cayman... ....the sting rays know that the tourists bring squid and stuff, so they beg...I swear they're like cats rubbing against your legs. On that trip, the guide fed a nurse shark so we could get close....also we saw a moray eel and someone in our group saw a baracuda. I loved the colorful fish..... the colors were gorgeous!

Hi....I loved it there too...a friend's husband worked for Boeing's Sea Launch program which had it's headquarters on Grand Cayman. I stayed at their beach condo for 10 days....they took me all over and we snorkeled every day. I love to swim so had a grand time running back and forth between the pool and the sea! I didn't scuba dive, just snorkeled, but it was still fun... JJ
