Good Monday again - feeling not so good today
Have to go to work assisting Nick Sabin's move to become Miami Dolphins new head coach too!!! I am nervous and he's got this three story house he's moving into to boot.
Ok for the excitement, I am having low tailbone area-left and right back pains! I hope I am feeling better in a bit here. Anyone here get these pains? I may have asked in old board before but would appreciate a response by anyone who relates.
Hugs your way from,
MJ

Good morning MJ!
I get the same pains, especially in the morning when I get up. I am not sure sometimes, if it is because I have to go to the bathroom or if they are muscular pains. They ususaly go away as the morning passes.
How exciting, rubbing elbows with the "potent" people!
Hope your day goes well and you begin to feel better soon!

Yup, I get those too . Try some light stretching...particularly feet out in front of you, and reach for your toes. I know, I can't get very far either, but it does help my lower back when its very cranky. Mine usually loosens up as I get active during the day too, unless I've done something really serious to it.
Have a good one.

Dear Mars
Thanks honey for the quick response to my aching body! Me too, I was wondering if it is because I need to evacuate and as the day progresses it ususally subsides. Never used to be like this either.
Listen, I am as nervous as a newbie rookie on the football field. I must remember that he and his family are no different than any of us. After all, I'm just another peon and I love what I am!
Hugs to youjavascript:emoticon('')
PS My back pains are real low too. Near tailbone left and right!

Hard to explain
I don't have leg cramps anymore (knock on wood) used to before I went GF. When arising I notice it. Some days are worse than others and it doesn't happen every day either. I'm just weird I guess! lol
Like right now, it's kinda waning but I'm thinking it's muscular? I am not an authority on the anatomy; so, if you can relate please do.

Hi MJ. I get lower back pains from time to time. When they started my PCP ordered an MRI but it was normal. He then suggested sleeping with a soft pillow between my knees (or behind them if sleeping on my back). This helps align the entire spine properly. I've been doing that for a while and it really seems to help. Good luck!

huh
Carrie,
I used to have to do that as a kid to get rid of some of my restless leg symptoms - maybe I'll try it again, because my backpain is nearly intolerable.

Hi Christine. I'm so sorry you have back pain on top of everything else you are dealing with! (((((hugs))))) Have you had an MRI? Mine was really easy - all I had to do was lie down and keep still. And I didn't have to drink any yukky stuff or get an injection of dye or anything. Maybe you should look into having one. My insurance paid 100% for mine but I had to get pre-certification and had to have a 'script' from my PCP. Good luck!

Thank you for the great idea! I'd heard of the one for those that are stomach sleepers or between the legger sleepers but that's one I'll have to try -under my legs.
Funny how the pain subsides after awhile on my feet. I had a gyn tell me when I had pain there a few years ago that it's probably arthritis. Yee gads, there have been times when it's hard to get up out of the bed.
Take care

Carrie,
Carrie,
No, haven't had an MRI.. right now the only doc I'm relying on is my GP, and I've told her I have continual pain, but sofar she doesn't really think anything of it.. or thinks as soon as I get my diet straightened out, I should be ok..
Well, I've not been cheating on my diet, but yet my pain is such that it's keeping me up at night. Last 2 nights, I've spent about an hour trying to get to sleep (where it usually takes me 2 seconds.. head touches the pillow=asleep), because of the pain. Not only that but it takes a lot of finagling to get comfortable, EVENTUALLY.. Having bad dreams, and waking up a lot too.. I might call her office today, but frankly I think she's getting sick of me. Not sure she buys into Dr. Fine's tests. And the last time I left a message at her office, they never called me back. SIGH..
I'll take my dicyclomine tonite - that'll put me out..

Christine,
Speaking of bad dreams, I have been having those nightly for the last week. Something new for me but wonder what the deal is.
Interesting.........

Bad dreams..
Full moon perhaps??? Anyone ELSE having bad dreams??
Mine aren't necessarily BAD, just DISTURBING!!!!
Like Saturday night (and note, this is a DREAM, not reality), I dreamt that my new cousin, Ty (who is new because she is on Trent's side), who is about 30's, was my GIRLFRIEND (yes, I was gay, apparently), and had gone off one night and went on a cocaine binge and cheated on me. I confronted her about the drugs and then asked her who she slept with. Then I told her "get out". Then I woke up. SCARY AND DISTURBING. Now whenever I see her, I'll be all freaked out.
If THAT's not strange enuf, I spent all day Sunday just feeling STRANGE about the dream, and guilty about having it, and also guilty about just dumping her like that!!!! JEEEEZ! LOL

Is this a recent pain? If so what do you think you might have done recently to cause it?mjbonsais wrote:I don't have leg cramps anymore (knock on wood) used to before I went GF. Old continuous pain? Old injury?
When you get up and move around does moving or doing anything in particular cause the same pain to occur?
Does it only occur in the mornings after sleeping?
Is the pain dull and achy or sharp and accute?
Does doing anything besides just getting up and moving around make the pain go away?
Thought I'd respond to the dream/nightmare question.
I RARELY dream or at least I don't remember dreaming, but I had a doozy Sat. night. Dreamed both Bill (husband) and Mike (son) died. It was horrible. If that wasn't bad enough, my sister-in-law was trying to make me do everything HER way regarding arrangements, etc.
Bleah, sorry I remembered it!!
