Hi ya Shirley!!!!
Thanks for asking..........
Ear infections took two weeks to go away - doing pretty good right now. Overall (besides the stress) I'm doing pretty good - (knock on wood).
Work, on the other hand is killing me! We have a banquet scheduled for 10/26 and I'm organizing and delegating all the work for that. It is an absolute nightmare!!!! Silent Auction (from donated goods and services), food, Power Point presentation (that I am doing) along with pictures and narrative. The list goes on and on. I'm trying to delegate to 12 board members; the banquet hall; the bank who is putting together the program of ads and sentiments towards our cause; 5 staff members and all the ticket and ad donations. WHEW..............gotta get another job!
Anyhoo.....I'm hanging in there. Kids are fine, g'kids are fine; Larry is fine too. MC is under control so the only thing left is menopause, bloating and weight gain............
Hope all is fine with you!
Love,
Mars

Morning Mars,
I know what it is like to try and get a committee and delegate some of the aspects of the event. It seems that everyone has an excuse why they cannot help with the event. Somehow it all comes back to the Events Coordinator who is you in this case. I am doing an event at my new job probably on 11/14 - the date will be decided today - and I am giving the caterer the load to do. My budget is less strict than before so that helps. It is a thank you type event for our brokers. Good luck with your event. I know and realize the work involved and the lack of thank yous when it is done.
Love, Maggie

Mars Bar,
Don't forget to build in some "ME time" during this busy time. Come home and curl up on the sofa and do something mindless. Good luck with the event. It could be worse. One of my best friends is a self-employed events planner and does it every day for a living. Everything from bar mitzvahs, weddings, office parties, 40th birthday parties, you name it. You can't imagine the headaches she has 24/7.....or maybe you can! LOL!
Love,
Polly Wolly

Thanks everyone!
Barbara = yep, ears are hearing just fine - don't like what they "hear" sometimes but hey - what cha gonna do????
Maggie - I feel for ya girlfriend! lol I am going nuts! The deadline for the two most important things - tickets and ad sales are this Friday and Tuesday of next week. I looked at the calendar today and absolutely FREAKED! Hope your event goes wonderful! I'll be thinking of you!
Polly Wolly - YIKES - don't want her job! Can't take any "ME" time - too busy bringing work home because there isn't enough time in the work day to get finished! Oh well, once the banquet is over, agency audit begins - then off to the holidays - we do a Thanksgiving dinner (catered) for the board in November - why, I don't know! Whew! THEN it's Christmas - can you believe it? I have two weeks left of vacation and don't guess I'll get one of them. I always take the week off between Christmas and New Year's.
Jill - Are ya feeling any better? Did the increase in meds help? Thanks for the good wishes. I'll take all I can get!
Shirley - I am used to working sick - been doing it for years now - it's sooooo much better than it used to be though (I'm referring to the MC). I'll get through it - somehow!
Love to all,
Mars
