I am sooo frustrated..

.. with life..

First, my stupid ex did NOT pay his childcare bill, so that will fall upon US to pay from now on. That's an extra $200 a month.

Second, not ONLY do we need new wheels and tires for the TT before winter, which is pretty spendy for the TT, but Trent got in a bit of a fender-bender with the BMW yesterday. He's ok, but the BMW needs a lot of work, and the person at fault up and ran. Trent got the license #, but who knows if they'll ever get any money out of her. The insurance company is fronting the damages, with our $500 deductible, and we'll get that back, should she ever cough up money, which I'm sure she will NOT..

Now, the final blow - I called Mayo, to make an appointment with Dr. Pardi.. I got in for July 21st. All appointments there are potentially 3-5 days, so I need to be off on Thurs and Friday, but I just found out that with my PTO situation, I will not be paid. In fact, I ONLY have 16 hours worth of PTO left for the entire YEAR, which will not be available for me to use until SEPTEMBER. I think I give up..

Oh Christine. It will all work out. But what a lot to dump on you at once.

As for the time off...can you ask your employer if you can work some OT the early part of that week to allow you to be paid for more hours? I know how exhausting that can be, but if it means it won't hurt as much finacially it might be worth it. Also any chance of carrying hours over from the previous week if you do some OT then?

Katy,

Altho I could grab some OT where possible in THAT week, I'm not allowed to carry over from previous weeks or for the next week.. they've made that pretty clear.. I think I will just reschedule the Mayo appointment. No need to cause myself this stress, I guess.

All,

Yeah, all the financial problems are what hits the hardest. Unfortunately we live VERY paycheck to paycheck, and these small fluxuations make it pretty difficult. I already have a stack of medical bills and collectors calling. I realize I WILL survive, but I have children, and I worry about their wellbeing. Here, in MN, you have to fall below a certain level of income to be considered in poverty, and they will not allow you to get government assistance or even to take from the food shelf unless you meet these guidelines, which of course, I do not. Who could survive on $16,000 a year is beyond me. This is the salary cutoff for poverty in MN.

I just feel broken - like this was the LAST straw..

Just hang in there, Christine - you can do it, whatever it takes!!! Try to look on the bright side - yes I know that's hard to do - but at least Trent wasn't injured. And you can always phone the IRS and get them to collect your child support payments from your ex.

Barring a medical emergency, September isn't all that far off to see Dr. Pardi at Mayo. Summers have a way of flying by. And I truly think Mayo may help to finally bring closure to many, perhaps all, of your medical problems. At least you will know you have been examined by the best and the brightest and that's as much as anyone can hope for.

update..

Post by TendrTummy »

Thanks all for the well wishes.. it's always easier said than done but it's nice to know you're all here for me..

As for the appointment, I will push it back to Sept and see what happens from there..

As for the accident, yeah, it's lucky Trent wasn't hurt.. Most the parts on that car are aftermarket and pretty spendy, and Progressive was very good about making sure we knew that they will restore the car to the condition it was before the accident. MOST insurance companies do not "support" aftermarket parts, and would only give us the money for the REGULAR parts (OEM) that originally came with the car, which wouldn't be enuf to REPLACE what we'd lost, so we're lucky there.. Sounds like Trent MAY have remembered the license plate wrong tho, so they may never catch that lady :(

As far as the X goes.. oh my.. speaking of IRS, for a time, he was working "under the table" for his landlord after Target fired him. This was so he would not get evicted. He was stupid enuf to tell ME about this, so I annonymously tipped the government and now they're after him. Then there's the eviction.. after the government notified the landlord that they were busted, he evicted him and is now suing him for backrent  .. Then there's daycares.. he owes our LAST daycare over $800 and THIS one over $1000 - course, with THAT whole deal, he went in there last night after I posted and BEGGED for them to let him continue there.. he offered them $150 a week cash (previously the "deal" was $200 a week cash, which he couldn't afford so I dunno how he's going to afford THIS.. ) and they are thinking about it.. I just wish they'd say "no more" and let it go like that.. then I could proceed in court and with moving the kids to a different daycare, farther away from him.. but I suppose, they figure this is the ONLY way they will see a DIME from him..

Anyway, with all of his problems, hey, at least I'm not HIM..

Awwwwwww, Christine,

It IS a bummer time you are having. Why does it all have to hit at the same time? But you will get through - just take those deep breaths and try not to worry about it. I agree with everyone here - it WILL work out. It sure helps having that wonderful hubby, doesn't it? (((((TT))))).

Love,

Polly

P.S. I'm gonna try that cashew sauce soon - thanks for the tip!

yes it does

Polly,

Yes it does (help to have a wonderful hubby)..

I have to say.. all of this crud going on in my life that is stressful, well at least I have Trent..

It's difficult to remember how horrible life was when I was married to the X, but there are days I'll hear a news story or hear something from a friend who is having man troubles and it all comes rushing back.. it was like living in a prison, and a hostile situation. And it's like it fades in your memory - you try so hard to remember to keep you from repeating mistakes but it's like your mind buffers it, to keep you from hurting..

I recall WHEN I decided it was "over".. My son had a favorite toy, a security blanket he'd take everywhere (it was actually a small toy porsche), and the X crushed it into a billion little pieces.. the way Hunter cried.. I'll never forget that.. I never want to hear a cry like that again. It broke my heart..

Anyway.. on to bigger and better things..
