Hi Oma,

Glad the official announcement came through.

They're predicting sleet and freezing rain here tomorrow, also, but that's hard to believe, since it's still 72 degrees here, right now, two hours after sundown. I guess we'll see what happens.

The part I don't like is the 25 to 30 mph winds, along with an 80% chance of precip, and a chill factor in the mid-teens. I doubt that the freezing stuff will stick in this area, since the ground is so warm, but it will probably be hazardous driving for sure, in your part of the country. Be careful and stay warm.

Love,
Tex

P S Sleet freezes before it falls from the clouds, (IOW it falls in the form of ice pellets), whereas freezing rain freezes after it falls to the ground.

Oma,

Yea for the good news on the work schedule!

I have some bad news - it is snowing here with sleet mixed in every once in a while. We are only supposed to get 1-2 inches. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry to send this cold air your way. Wish we would get more moisture but hate the frozen stuff!

Everyone take care and stay warm!

Hi Oma,

We had the same kind of weather this morning, but the rain stopped about 10 o'clock, and after the sun came out, it got up to 38. Since it's clear now, the low tonight is predicted to be 22 here.

Love,
Tex
