Colitis and Sugar Malabsorption/Maldigestion

Post by mle_ii »

I think this study shows that colitis can have an effect on the digestion of sugars. Guessing this is one of the reasons why I cannot eat much fructose or sucrose containing foods without feeling ill.

Mucosal function in rat jejunum and ileum is altered by induction of colitis.

If I can get the article I'll reply more if I find anything else of interest here.

Thanks,
