Checking in

Post by m »

Hi everyone,

Just checking in. Been busy with work, holidays and looking for a job. I had this past week off so I'm rested and ready to face the world again (I think). Job search is moving along. I have another interview this week so wish me luck. Stomach has been pretty much behaving except when I try something questionable. Visited my old GI doctor just to check in and see if there was anything new and ask if he'd write a script for Entocort over the phone if and when I need it. It was a very frustrating visit and now I remember why I stopped going to him.

I see I've missed 1100 new messages so it's impossible for me to catch up :). Hope everyone is well and welcome to all the new "recruits."

Happy New Year to all!

 Good to "see" you and I'm glad you aren't experiencing any severe symptoms even though you have been under a lot of stress and change in your life.

I understand about your doctor but DID he agree to write you prescription if you needed it??

Take care, Shirley

Happy New Year, Melissa!

Happy to hear the good reports on the MC and job fronts. Good luck on the interview. How is it going with your supervisor? OK I hope. At least it doesn't sound as if you are majorly stressing out. Good for you.

Love,

Polly

Shirley,
Doctor wouldn't commit to prescribing over the phone. He said he had to think about it. We had this go round about why I would want to take it. He seemed to get stuck on the fact that I am gluten intolerant and kept coming back to that saying that the Entocort wouldn't help that. I said I KNOW! but when I'm that sick it's because I'm having a MC flare. Geez it was a frustrating conversation.

I went back to him because I couldn't get ahold of my "new" GI doctor; the one I saw last year who would prescribe over the phone. I found out later it was because I called on the day the new guy moved his office. I got the notification card after I set up my appointment to see the old guy. May go back to the new guy anyway.

Polly - the situation at work is frustrating and difficult but I'm trying to keep focused on my goals....to find something better and leave...:)

Your luck sounds a lot like mine - calling on the day your old doc. moved - I hope he will still co-operate with you with the prescriptions.
