Hi Oma...just wondering if you are okay with the bad weather going on. Also wondering if you are feeling better since you were put on some meds. How about a little input? Love, Carol

They must be having a power outrage, or something. It's been 2 days, (since Friday afternoon), since she last logged on. She lives about 150 miles NW of me. I don't know how much rain they've had out there, but we had 4.4 inches here, yesterday alone. I think that they've had icing conditions there since sometime about Friday afternoon.

We're still slightly above freezing here, but it's still raining, and the temperature is dropping, so we'll be icing over by late today, also. I'm pretty sure that where Oma lives, the temp didn't get above freezing at all, yesterday, and it certainly won't today, nor tomorrow, either, since the temp is predicted to remain in the 20s all day tomorrow here, as well, and it's almost always a lot colder in her part of Texas, than it is here.

The forcast is for a wintry mix, winds 20 to 25 mph, with gusts to 30 and above, with a chill factor between zero and 10 degrees here, tomorrow, which means that they will be looking at a chill factor below zero, were Oma lives. I hope that she and Mike don't run out of propane.

Love,
Tex

Hi Carol, Polly and Tex.....
Yes we are fine here. Everything is frozen. Trees are all ready to lose their branches from the weight of the Ice on them. Fences grass all white from frost. We have been in the 20's and colder for the last two days.
We have been conserving energy and staying warm under the blankets. We have two Ceramic heaters and Mike lighted the Furnace yesterday. So we are staying warm.
Dogs are wearing sweaters to go out and do their buisness, wish I had a pic to show you. Got film in the processor.
As Far as the meds go, I have been taking buspar and it seems to be working pretty good. I have stopped crying at the drop of a hat, and feel a bit better too. I go back to see him in another month, unless of course I have any problems.
If I could get Mike and the dogs to stay asleep all night then I would get a full nights sleep. I am working on that. Otherwise things are better am maybe will get a whole lit better.
We still have power, I am scared that we might lose power. But no sense worrying about that right now. I think we have a Generator in the barn. Other than that there's not much to tell. Love Oma

Hi Oma,

Thanks for the update. I hope the power stays on.

It still isn't quite freezing here, but it's getting close, and it won't be long now. The rain refuses to stop. Our drought has been broken here - we've had around 10 inches of rain in the past three weeks, and it's in the forecast every day, for at least the next 10 days.

Love,
Tex

Wow, you are getting some bad weather!

A snowfall of 2 feet is generally safer than a 1/4 sheet of ice, which you already have with more rain and cooler temps predicited?

Stay put if you can to be safe.

Love,
Joanna
