Renal Scan today

Post by Liz »

I am fasting at the moment because I am having my annual renal scan today. Don't expect any problems but apparently I have to have these test periodically for about ten years because of the injury to my ureter during the bowel op that I had in 2004. I see the urologist again on 21st Feb & my doc thinks that he may order other tests because of ongoing problems with my bladder. Getting a bit sick of tests & stuff.

Rash from shingles is settling down somewhat, although not completely gone but pain in back, boob & shoulder still hanging around. Bu**er.

Go away shingles!!!! Hope the renal scan showed only good things. Enjoyed watching the tennis tournament from down under. Now I always think of you whenever there's anything about Australia.

Hope all the tests went OK and everything is normal.

Let's all HEX those old shingles and maybe they will skedaddle (leave......quickly).

The tennis was great Kathy, I alway watch what I can of the Australian Open . Had a real lazy time just flopping in front of the tele - well my doc DID say to take it easy. The final a real beauty. Gonzales will be a force to reckon with in the future but Roger is a true champion.

Shirley, I don't go for the scan for another couple of hours but will let you know if there is any problem. I am hoping that the shingles will skedaddle soon too

Morning Liz,

Sure hope the test goes fine and that the shingles take a hike. You have to have some good times going for you.

Love, Maggie

Won't know the results of my scan until I see the doc next Thursday, unless of course I get a summons if they find anything amiss. I don't expect anything, or at least hope there is nothing. Had a bit of trouble with the scan - duly emptied bladder & drank the 1 1/2 litres of water an hour before the test time but when they put the thingy on there was not enough in my bladder so had to go sit outside & drink another eight glasses of water in 15 minutes :???:   . Made it then had to sit & wait until they could fit me in, about an hour.   By then I could hardly walk into the room, very difficult trying to walk with your legs crossed. Anyway it is over now for another year, I hope.

Barb, I was sitting here in air-conditioned comfort watching the tennis on TV. The Open is held in Melbourne, which is a two hour flight from here.
