Hah!!!

Post by Sally »

Guess who's here???? Yes, it's me. It's sure good to be back in the arms of my family.

I have been a busy bee in the last few months. I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!! I met him when I was seven years old in Genoa, Italy and we have been friends ever since although not in touch too much. We phoned each other (I forget who phoned who first) almost a month ago and we have been talking every day since. Anyone want to chip in on my phone bill? I went to Montana to see him last week and everything is the same except we are both 43 years older. It's nice to have somebody to hold hands with again.

How is everybody? You can read about my latest flare up in the diet forum. My advice is that everyone stay away from lettuce in restaurants. EAT SPINACH instead.

Thanks so much, Wayne, for setting this up for us and for being as paranoid about secrecy as I am. Heaven forbid that we go through what we went through before. :banghead:

Lots and lots of love to everyone,

Sally

Wow! And a new romantic interest. How FUN! I know I was so glad when Geoff and I started talking again. Of course now sometimes I can't get him to shut up...but I'll deal

Welcome aboard, and I hope you'll keep us up to date on the goings on in your life. Also very sorry to here you have an issue with lettuce. Tis salad season after all.

Love,
Katy

He's not a NEW love interest!! He's an old one. First love of my life. Back together again. Where we should have been in the first place.

:pulsinghearts: :pulsinghearts: :pulsinghearts: :pulsinghearts:

On Monday some men are coming into my house to tear my bathrooms apart. They will leave one free in case of an emergency.

You were not talking to Geoff? Is everything okay now? Hope so.

Lots of love,

Sally

Okay, Sally, I meant the reaquainted talking after years of not really being in touch. Geoff and I are fine...just there was those 9 or so years while he was dating/married to his ex-wife that we didn't talk. Geoff was my first love too...dated when we were 13 for 6 months or so. Again at 18. Now we've been back together for about 3-1/2 years
It is a wonderful feeling to find what was always supposed to be.

Yep, feels good, doesn't it?

He's originally from NH and when I opened his kitchen cupboard it was full of huge jugs of maple syrup. The real thing. I think he has a life-time supply.

Sally!!!!!

Now it really does feel like we're all home! I see that you have quickly "mastered" this site with all of its associated bells and whistles. It took most of us some time to figure out how to reply, how to make an avatar, etc. You are just plain computer savvy, I guess.

A BOYFRIEND! Now that makes things interesting!!! Looking forward to hearing more about this......at least the parts that aren't :censored: LOL!

What a treat to have you here with us - and to "see" your humor and wisdom again! You have been missed terribly. :grouphug: As you can probably tell, you have been the inspiration for this website.

Love and namaste,

Polly

Hi Sal

Nice to "see you". Sounds like you've been a VERY busy gal. Lots of things going in all of our lives since we last talked. Mine is boring next to your news about a boyfriend. Good for you. I'm so happy for you.
Hope you're still planning to come to Vancouver next month because we have a lot of catching up to do (if Pegster ever gives you a free minute - sounds like she's got a wonderful tour of the city planned).
Are you still planning to sell the house? How is Korben and the rest of the family? Are you still caring for him some days of the week?

We're going to my youngest daughter's tomorrow for a barbeque and other than that, I'm busy house cleaning and learning to sew (a new hobby).

The right knee is healing nicely and the left one is getting worse, so will probably have to think about going to see the ortho pretty soon to start thinking about the second knee replacement because it takes at least a year to get in. Don't want to do it this year - we're planning a holiday to Quebec at the beginning of Oct and I want to get through Christmas first.

Well, that's enough for now or this will turn into a novel.

Take care and give that cuddly Korben a big hug from Momster.

Sally
I joined this group because of what I read in the introduction to the old site. Just wanted to say thanks. I have been away on work for the last week and spent the last couple of days trying to get caught up at home so have missed a lot of members signing on.

Just wanted to say to everyone “Welcome Back”

Love

Matthew

Oh my gosh, Sally?

It is great to hear from you, like many others here. Wow---I think of you so often and wonder how you are doing.

I found your site in March 04 after my DX and it has been such an inspiration to me. Shortly after joining your board you just sort of stopped posting.....so naturally I've been wondering, and even worried about you.

Sounds like things are good- I married "one of my" high school sweethearts 13 years ago and life couldn't be much better except I chose to move to Alaska which at times, feels too remote from family.

Thanks for taking time to update us and enjoy your newfound love.

Love,
Joanna
