Well, now there is a way to take it to the loo. LOL. As least it appears that there might be a way. I noticed that Skype now has a download that allows it to be used with cellphones that that are set up for WAN, (Wide Area Network), broadband wireless data service. IOW, it should work for smartphones, and phone edition PDAs, (Personal Digital Assistants, or Pocket PCs, as they are sometimes called), provided that the account has a subscription to a WAN broadband wireless service plan.

Since I just happen to have a new phone edition PDA, and I already had a WAN broadband wireless data service plan, for laptop use, I downloaded a copy of the current version, and also a beta version of a new edition that's still in the testing phase. Hopefully, one of them will work.

I haven't installed either one, yet. I thought that I'd play with it this weekend, when I have more time, and when I can be in a broadband wireless service area with a decent signal level. If you don't mind me calling you, and assuming that I can get it to work with my mobile device, I'll try to see if the doggone thing will reach to the other side of the world.

I won't be calling from the loo, though, because I don't have an adequate signal level here at home. LOL.

Love,
Tex

Hi Tex. That is good news. I think my Skype name is on the board somewhere but I will email it to you anyway.

Just got home. Took Robert out for lunch to a new tavern on the highway, just opened today. It was his birthday yesterday but we both had Doctor & optometrist appointments so decided to leave it until today. Both had lovely fresh fish, me Barramundi & Robert Snapper.
Cheers

Liz
