Whole Foods Buys Wild Oats

:cowboy:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I'll be thrilled to have a Whole Foods in our neck of Ohio!!!!!!!
I'd go to the one in Michigan when I'd go up to visit with my sister.
Thanks for posting this!!

Kitchen Buddies

I wish the news that Whole Foods bought up Wild Oats was something that I could cheer about .

When I moved to Denver in the early eighties I shopped Rainbow Vegetarian Market on Colfax Avenue. It morphed and morphed again, then became Wild Oats and then bought up Alfalfa’s Market and then progressed to the point that I would never have recognized my good friends at Rainbow. Now it has morphed again to Whole Foods.

A twenty minute walk gets me to Wild Oats where I find that on occasion I am willing to pay for fresh caught salmon . The Whole Foods markets in Denver charges at least twice the price. Not only on the fish but all the vegetables. And with an attitude. UGHHHH!

So some changes are in my future buying. Their are other places I shop but not in walking distance. When one resource disappears another arrives.

Humm maybe a bigger garden this year. It is time to start thinking about it.

Then there is me, who is completely neutral on this new. Neither a Whole Food or Wild Oats to be found anywhere around! The local groceries do okay, and there are a few healthfood stores...mom and pop type places. I do better with main stream food avoiding the gluten causing ones. Actually, our local Market Basket has started putting signs on the shelves under gluten free foods. They are bright green and in big letters say Gluten Free. I haven't seen any anywhere that I didn't already know about.
