Hi all,
For one thing thing, it's waaaaaaaaaay too expensive. If you do the math, based on the prices quoted in this article, it costs $10.18 per gallon. So why are we complaining about three dollar gas? To say nothing about all the detrimental effects it has on the environment.

Why I Don't Drink Bottled Water
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Interesting article, Tex. I had read recently that many of the bottled water companies get their water from a municipal water supply, although they may claim it is from "mountain springs". And that some small towns do not appreciate having their precious water going out to the world.
I am going to stop using bottled water. I can always fill a water bottle from the tap whenever I need to take some with me. I think bottled water became kind of a status symbol, of all things. Thanks for sharing.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Hey Tex-
Yeah it is crazy expensive (most of the time). I buy distilled water (whatever store brand it is) and it is $0.99 a gallon.

We are not connected to a city sewer or water system but have a very deep well that provides wonderful tasting ice cold water. It's been consistent for 15 years.
Guess that's not the case at the home we bought in MN. My husband has bought a 5 gallon water cooler for drinking and cooking. He's been in the house for 3 only months and although the toilets, sinks, tubs, dishwasher and washing machine were spick and span when he moved in they already are heavily stained with the red rust type stuff. Not sure what thats all about but I don't the sounds of it.
Sure gonna miss our fresh, free Alaskan water after we move and not looking forward to the water softener taste either.
Love,
Joanna
