Been reading posts like crazy...........
Mom & I got home between 1 & 1:30 this afternoon (east coast time).
I decided to split up the drive and stay in a motel on Sunday night which made it easier on Mom...............
However, I was totally unable to sleep (even with Ambien). The last couple/three hours I drove today were spent frantically trying to keep my eyes from crossing, then closing. By God's Grace we made it home OK.
I'm headed for a shower & reading a good book until I fall asleep (won't take long).
Tomorrow I am going to "sit" with a friend whose husband will be going through some tests at the hospital. It's his pancreas. Actually it's my sister-in-law's brother but Bill & I have been friends with them for years.
Prayers appreciated.
Love, Shirley

Shirley,
Glad you made it home safely. I hear you on the sleep problem. It's tough enough for me to get enough sleep in my own bed, let alone in an unfamiliar bed, when I'm distracted by travel plans, or various other concerns.
I hope the test results turn out to be much better than expected. Pancreas problems can be worrisome, to say the least.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks
My friend with the pancreas test today had his "duct" totally blocked. They put in a stint. He should be feeling better soon. He also has a "suspect" area. Waiting for biopsy result on that. He may (sounded like he probably would) be going across the state to Tampa to have another "look see". They have a smaller scope there that this hospital doesn't have.
