BOOK REC: Stop being your symptoms and start being yourself

Post by mle_ii »

"Stop being your symptoms and start being yourself : the 6-week mind-body program to ease your chronic symptoms"
Arthur J. Barsky and Emily C. Deans.

Ok I finally finished this book, and other than the diet section (has it's merits, but off on some aspects) I whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone suffering a chronic disease of any type. Mental and/or physical.

I don't recommend this book as a cure for any problem. But as a perspective on how to live with any disease, chroinc or acute.

I plan on purchasing this book as I checked it out from the library and put the exercises and plan into action.

I hope that my recommendation helps at least one person out there deal with their disease and how to live with it and not let it control their life. As I allowed my LC to control mine. I'm learning. :)

Thanks,
Mike
