Tingling on tongue and nose
I've had tingling occasionally on my tongue for a few years. I've never mentioned it to a doctor because it hasn't caused any problems and it's very intermittent.
But on Saturday, I suddenly began getting tingling on the edge of my nose. I thought it would go away, but it's happening numerous times a day.
I'm still on the Entocort, 3 mg. per day, but I don't think that has anything to do with the tingling. I've had numbness in my hands for several years, but I've attributed that to the osteoporosis in my neck (though it seems to have lessoned since I've been on the Entocort and a GF diet.) The doctor seemed to concur, especially since at the same time I began feeling dizzy when I moved my head. Those are both symptoms of osteoarthritis.
But I don't understand the sudden new tingling. Has anyone else experienced tingling in the face and mouth? I know that it's common in the feet and other extremities, but not very common elsewhere. I've read on the Internet that tingling is usually a sign of nerve damage.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.

I hope U get some good reports as to why this is happening--
So many issues lead into different causes----

Barbara,
Have you tried taking a zinc supplement? That often helps, unless your nasal passages or sinuses are obstructed.
Can you taste something that is salty, bitter, sweet, or sour? If so, it is only your sense of smell that is not working. If you you can't taste the four things that I mentioned, then both your sense of taste, and your sense of smell are not working.
Luve,
Galahad

Barbara,
Yes, see what they say about trying a zinc supplement for the smell/taste problem. It's available OTC. I used to use it when I felt like I was coming down with a cold, and usually, the cold would fail to develop, or it would be very mild. If I recall correctly, the ones I used were wafers, designed to dissolve on the back of your tongue.
Goodnight,
Galahad
