Calling Gloria

Post by barbaranoela »

We have friends in ILL. a real real small town called Vienna--just south--above Tenn. ---and they have megga property----
When I say small I mean it---they drive 20 miles for a grocery store---
Their street name is their last name!!!!
When I saw that---I was laughing so much and then she told me --*well when we built here---there was NO name so the town named it Dixon Lane--

Imagine having a street named for U---
I couldnt imagine my last name being on a street sign-- --it looks worse than it sounds --- actually it is very melodious!!!

HaHa Sounds heavenly to me.

In Pa we drive about 13 miles to a decent grocery store, but we do have a convenience store about 3 miles away.

That doesn't describe where I live. I'm in a suburb of Chicago, a town of about 30,000. I like it, though - there's a lake at the end of my block and a wooded seminary right across the highway. It's like living in the country with city convenience.

I used to say I wouldn't want to live so far from a pizza parlor that the pizza would be cold by the time I got home. Those were the days....
