Post by barbaranoela »

well I did a recheck of *ME*---I have been *feeling a bit too sorry for me* and I thought---*now what is this doing for me??--NOTHING--Xcept having Lou,*throw up his hands and being very very patient with me*--and let me tell U it isnt easy  so I have to *grow up and realize *injuries take time to heal and I have plenty of time* Must give Lou a BREAK from all the *woe is me* crap!!!!

1. came across this Joel Osteen--guess a preacher--on TV and he talks to *U* and about the good U have inside yaself--and such good things to hear that make U *like* yourself as is!!!!

2. I was raised in the Catholic Faith--but it was like getting repremanded all the time--and made to feel U were the WORSE SINNER if U got angry-this was the parish I grew up in--Saint James Grammer school then Cathedral (all girl) Cartholic High school----
3. 12 years of being under the thumb of NUNS~~~~and having their finger *shakin* in ya face if one tried to be different--
4. One day I wore a blouse that had long chiffon sleeves--which showed your arms and I WAS SENT HOME---for Xposing my body--can U imagine---

To add I watched a MONK rerun (luve Monk--he cracks me up) and it was MONK meets WILLIE NELSON (luve Willie too)--well it was so funny---
I actually laughed OUT-LOUD--and sang along with Willie---
2 of my favorites are Georgia and On the Road again--naturally~~~

Imagine saying how lucky I was to have a colitis issue--well I do cus I never would have met all of U--and seeing how I can VENT many issues--- :grouphug: unrelated to *illness*--

Thanks again for being who U all are~~~~ :bigbighug:

Morning Barbara,

Please include me in the 12 years of being under the nuns thumb and being sent home more than once. My parents were poor and my father taped together the sole of my shoes and I was sent home to put on "respectable" shoes and did my father blow a gasket. Needless to say he visited the nun and informed her that when he could afford it I would have new shoes. Back to school the next day.

Willie also a fav or mine.

Love, Maggie

Add me in for the Willie Nelson fans although at first I didn't like him at all and then I started liking his songs but didn't like to look at him. HaHa Finally he just "grew on me" and I like him a lot. I am a fan of country music although I prefer the "older" ones. (can't imagine why - HaHa)

I wasn't raised Catholic but I'll be my Dad was just as strict as most any nun. HaHa I always knew he love me though. That makes a difference.

I enjoyed your post, Barbara. So glad you are feeling better.

Love, Shirley
