Update on the Rocks

Post by MaggieRedwings »

Morning All,

Well after much phone calling to the doc's office I have found out the following but no solution yet.

The loss in the inner wall of the ear or the fluid levels or God know what (at least I think that is what they are referring to but will find out more later is Right - 32% Left - 56%. Feel it might have been caused by a virus but definitely need further testing to rule out other causes or what may be causing it.

I will be going for a brain MRI on Sunday 12/23/07 to see if there may be a tumor on the 8th nerve - Neuroma - or a better look at the entire brain area and the inner ear. Meirerne"s (sp?) disease could also be a diagnosis.

Needless to say I am an absolute wreck but trying to keep it together. I have been having headaches in the back right low side of my head since this all started so I guess that helped prompt the brain MRI>

At this time, I just want to know what is wrong and go from there.

Thanks for being here for me and helping me get through this. Kind of funny since after all these years my D has drastically improved with the Entocort and now something else pops up. The good thing is that this has not seemed to affect my hearing overall. Can still hear the birds perfectly.

Love, Maggie

Aw Maggie,

They're really putting you through the wringer with all this testing. I hope they find that it's just due to a virus, or something simple, so that you can get on with your life. It's a shame to have to be worrying about all this stuff during the holidays, especially.

As one of my favorite Saturday Night Live characters used to say, (Rosan Rosanadana), "It's always something!".

Your remark, "Can still hear the birds perfectly.", brought a smile to my face. It really is the little things in life that get us through the tough times, isn't it?

Love,
Tex

Morning All,

Without Frank and my family here, I just could not get through this. Also went for our Christmas outing on Friday and we saw the gorgeous lights at Longwood Gardens, but I don't seem to handle lights and the dark well. Lost balance and fell twice and was embarassed to death. Ergo, my boss gave me his arm and we proceeded from there. I only had one glass of wine.

Hate this crap but love my family here.

Love, Maggie
